A belated Happy New Year!
Chinese New Year was on February 14 this year, but I was out of town, so this post is coming a week late. Even though it’s tardy, I want to acknowledge the new year of the tiger, and I hope that it will bring us all good luck.
As I do each year when I go home to Taiwan, I pick up the lunar new year posters published by Han Sheng, the Taiwan-based publisher promoting Chinese folk art. Above is a stuffed tiger from Shanxi province from one of the Han Sheng posters.
