NYC Healthy School Lunch Recipe Contest

December 15, 2009
Calling all professional and amateur chefs: please help us get delicious, healthy, plant-based foods into our schools!
The New York Coalition for Healthy School Food (NYCHSF), in partnership with the James Beard Foundation (JBF), the NYC Office of SchoolFood and Candle Café/79, is working to develop and introduce plant-based school lunches for NYC public schools.
The team is hosting a recipe contest for plant-based school lunch entrées. The finalists’ dishes will be tested and judged at the James Beard House. Qualifying recipes will be publicized by both NYCHSF and JBF.
Recipes should be submitted in Excel format via email to info@healthyschoolfood.org with “Recipe Contest” in the subject line by January 15, 2010. There is no need to be a professional chef. Anyone may enter!
