The late restaurateur Joseph Baum (1920-1998) helped steer the United States’ culinary trajectory. His restaurants, which include Windows On The World, the Four Seasons and La Fonda Del Sol, reflect a man who had a flair for the spectacular.
As part of The New School Food Studies program’s series on Culinary Luminaries, a panel discussion with some heavy hitters in the industry that knew and worked with Joseph Baum takes place next Tuesday, March 16th.
Learn how Joe Baum — as he was more fondly known — changed the industry with panel participants that include Milton Glaser, graphic and interior designer; Hugh Hardy, principal and founder of H3 Hardy Collaboration Architecture, LLC; Michael Whiteman, president of Joseph Baum and Michael Whiteman Company; and Kevin Zraly, founder of Windows on the World Wine School. The discussion will be moderated by William Grimes, former New York Times restaurant critic.
