Luscious Tropical Fruit Stamps

I saw these tropical fruit stamps on a morning news program last April and instantly noted how gorgeous they were. But at the time, I didn’t have much use for 27¢ stamps since I rarely send postcards within the U.S.

But when I received a postcard in the mail last week, what immediately caught my eye was the guava stamp in the top right corner. It was so luscious and beautiful, I instantly craved guava.

So I went to the post office and bought a sheet of the tropical fruit stamps, a series of five fruits (pomegranate, star fruit, kiwi, papaya and guava) illustrated by Cuban born designer Sergio Baradat and designed by Ethel Kessler.
