Bklyn Larder is the kind of gourmet store every neighborhood wishes it had. They not only source exquisite products including imported olive oils from Italy, Swiss cheeses, and fresh baked local breads, but they also offer their own fresh and delicious prepared foods including gelati and sorbetti. The chocolate sorbetto is smooth, rich, luscious and pure. I always prefer chocolate sorbet to chocolate ice cream or gelato because without milk or cream, you can taste the chocolate in its purest form. I served fresh berries with both vanilla gelato and chocolate sorbetto at a dinner party, and everyone asked for seconds on the chocolate. It’s simply irresistible.
