Lately, I’ve been nostalgic for chocolate pudding pie. It must be the power of manifestation that Cynthia often speaks of because the other day, I found chocolate pudding pie right in front of me at Pies ‘N’ Thighs, where I was trying to satiate another craving: chicken biscuit. The chocolate pudding pie at Pies ‘N’ Thighs is different from that of my childhood memory — the kind where the chocolate has a gelatinous texture, like Jell-O pudding. At Pies ‘N’ Thighs, the chocolate is rich and dense, more like chocolate mousse, in a chocolate crust, topped with a dollop of fresh whipped cream and shaved chocolate. A couple of bites into it, I could feel the sugar rush to my head and a large smile cross my face.
