Taste Gelato ArtigianaleJulia J. Collins

Summer’s on its way, which means it’s gelato season at last! To help cool off in the summer heat, Borne Confections’ line of seasonal sorbettos and gelatos, Taste Gelato Artigianale, is in full bloom. I had the pleasure of catching the last scoops of persimmon sorbetto, which is what got me hooked. Other summer flavors to look out for are blackberry, blueberry/pomegranate, red currant, plum, papaya sorbetto and ginger/lemon gelato. Or try one of their staple gelatos such as straciatella, amerena (cherry) and ameretto. They’re quite a treat to have on the handmade egg-free waffle cone.

Don’t miss the chance to try Taste Gelato Artigianale during its 2009 summer debut on June 4 from 7 to 9pm and June 5 from 12 to 5pm. Stop by Borne Confections and you’ll receive a 1-oz complimentary sample!

Also in Ice Cream, Italian, Midtown East, Sweets

Everyone should definately go for this. I tried Taste Gelato last fall and fell in love with the Hazelnut. I cant wait to try the new flavors.
