While Thé Adoré’s “cupcakes” are really muffins — as there’s no frosting on top — I can see why they call them cupcakes. They’re much fluffier than the grossly large, dense muffins you’d find in a deli. Of the three flavors (raspberry, banana and blueberry), the raspberry is my favorite. The baked fruit is gooey without fully dissolving, so it’s like a purée. Interspersed in the cake, it adds a touch of sweetness to every bite. As always, this French-style Japanese bakery makes the tastiest treats!
