There are many things to love at Jody Williams’ new French restaurant, Buvette, and I’m still trying them all, but the one thing I order without fail is the chocolate mousse. It’s rich and dense, and the fresh whipped cream on top lightens it up. The mousse is not overly sweet; you can taste the bittersweet chocolate from which it’s made. Simple, pure and smooth, it’s like eating a giant piece of chocolate truffle. But while a single piece of chocolate would leave me craving more, after finishing a plate of Buvette’s chocolate mousse, I am completely sated.
