I thought cupcakes would be a passing fad, but when you think about it, they’re little cakes. And cakes don’t go out of fashion, so why would cupcakes? Butter Lane’s banana cupcake with cream cheese vanilla bean icing is my latest craving. It’s like banana bread with cream cheese icing on top. It’s the least sweet of the cakes in Butter Lane’s portfolio, but for those who like the sweeter quality of icing versus buttercream, this is for you. Still a tad on the sweet side for me, but once in a while, it’s okay to indulge.
