Although the latest hot spot in the café world (Joe, 9 E 13th St) just opened a couple of blocks from me, I ventured to the Upper East Side to try Via Quadronno’s famed espresso, or rather, their latte. As a devoted tea drinker, I usually find coffee too strong for me, but I was told that I must try Via Quadronno’s espresso.
The latte I had was amazingly smooth and creamy, the coffee and the milk were really balanced as one ingredient rather than two. The espresso was perfectly brewed so there was no sharpness or burnt woodiness in taste. This is the kind of drink that could convert me to become a coffee drinker.
