Pure as Water

Purity Vodka

I like my martinis. I like ’em clean. Usually with a good gin and some vermouth. Purity is what I seek. And Purity is what Master Blender Thomas Kuuttanen dreamed of making with his vodka. While I rarely ask for vodka martinis, the Purity martini stands apart. Ever imagined a martini that substitutes water for vermouth? According to Kuuttanen, the water in his Purity martini isn’t used to dilute the cocktail: “Who would want to dilute their baby?” he reassures. Instead it creates a chemical reaction in which the starch from the wheat and barley reacts with the water, enhancing the aromas and flavors. Tasting is believing.

Purity Martini
(By Thomas Kuuttanen, Master Blender, Purity Vodka)

2 oz Purity Vodka
1 oz water (tap or still mineral)

Mix Purity Vodka and water in a shaker filled with ice. Filter. Pour into a chilled martini glass.

Here are Thomas’ special instructions for serving:
Serve with a small twist of lime on the side (no white left on the peel) or, if olives are desired, serve them as a snack on the side.

As for me, well I’m Ms. Bond, I’ll have martini with a salad for lunch or at cocktail hour to wind down for the day. It’s a staple in my Bond life.

Hey there Ms. Bond. Nice piece. Still finding it hard to believe that it,“creates a chemical reaction in which the starch from the wheat and barley reacts with the water, enhancing the aromas and flavors. I guess “tasting is believing”….

Taste away Patrick! Purity is delish. Its the most awarded ultra premium vodka in the world. Reaction is the same as to why water is added is scotch whisky to enhance flavor.
