This month’s winners are Milo and Christopher. Congratulations!

Below is the original Baking Friday post.

Q: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE CHAMPAGNE?

Scroll down below to enter a comment. Make sure to click on “submit” after the preview appears on screen. Send in your answer by 5pm today and you will automatically be entered into the drawing to win a Irving Farm Box from Irving Farm Coffee Company. Winners will be contacted via email to arrange for prize delivery.

Irving Farm Coffee Company is a lovely purveyor of farm roasted specialty coffees. While the roasting facilities are located in the Hudson Valley, they have three cafés (two in the City and one in Millerton, NY), including the newest one of 7th Avenue between 13th and 14th Street that was just voted Best new coffeehouse by Time Out New York Eat Out Awards 2008. They are also building a new factory upstate and hope to get a state grant to use solar and wind power to help with their power needs. We commend Irving Farm for seeking alternative energy means!

In addition to their delicious house blends, we find their packaging irresistible, too! (How could we not?! It’s designed by Louise Fili.) And we are delighted to be giving away two Irving Farm Boxes, which includes one pound of their signature 71 Irving Place House Blend, one pound of Estate Blend Decaffeinated, two Irving Farm coffee mugs, and one stainless steel coffee scoop!

Irving Farm coffee and gift boxes can be purchased through their website. But don’t forget to visit their cafés for a cup of joe and a bite to eat:

Superb champagne. My choice for gifts to launch new enterprises, Christen ships, and to enjoy at home on very special occasions.

I enjoy Moet & Chandon White Star. One of my favorite memories is drinking this champagne with my boyfriend while eating a big pastrami sandwich from Carnegie Deli. Classy, huh? And not as bad as it might sound!

I certainly can’t name a favorite, but I’ve recently enjoyed Charles Ellner’s Brut Rose NV. I’d like to try more selections by the same house.

I second Milo and raise one by saying that Vintage Billecart Rose Cuvee Elisabeth is one for the ages.

Their NV Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru is also a stunner.
