This month’s winners are Adrienne and Kari. Congratulations!

Below is the original Baking Friday post.

Q: WHAT’S YOUR LATEST FOOD CRAVING?

Scroll down below to enter a comment. Make sure to click on “submit” after the preview appears on screen. Send in your answer by 5pm today and you will automatically be entered into the drawing to win a verē Valentine’s Gift Bag.

Winners will be contacted via email and can pick up the prizes at the verē chocolate factory (12 W 27th St).

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and we’ve got a treat for you (or your loved one): a verē Valentine’s Gift Bag (includes a raspberry lemon organic bar, a raspberry heart, a 4-piece Purist caramel box, a box of pink peppercorn wafers, and a small verē bars)!

verē uses cacao beans from the Ecuadorian Rainforest to create their signature chocolates that contain 75% cacao content. These chocolates are high in antioxidants, low in sugar, natural and gluten free! Who knew chocolate this healthy could taste so great (and not sweet)?! We especially love the bite-size chocolate-covered brownies. But the almond clusters and chocolate wafers are delicious too!

Come visit verē during Factory Fridays, when you can taste the chocolates and buy directly from the source. Factory Fridays are 12pm to 6pm every Friday. Additionally, from now until Valentine’s Day, Factory Friday hours are extended through the week from 12pm to 5pm Monday through Thursday.

verē products can be purchased online, or here’s a list of retail stores that carry verē in NYC:

Auto
Amish Market (45th St & Park Pl)
City Bakery
Commodities
Conran
Food Emporium (3rd Ave)
Garden of Eden (all stores)
Integral Yoga
Lifethyme
Organic Market
Pumpkins (Brooklyn)

Thank you, verē, for this week’s Baking Friday contribution!

A proper Turkish breakfast. Or any meal consumed with my girlfriend.

A dish with fresh spring vegetables – asparagus and sweet peas – to go along with this crazy weather…

i have recently (in the past week) become obsessed with the bagels at bagel hole on 7th ave in park. after passing by the literal hole in the wall for months, i finally went in to discover that they have REAL bagels. . . chewy, crusty, flavorful bagels. now i can not stop. in fact, on my way to get one now.

Manchego cheese – tastes slightly different at every specialty shop, but consistent enough to qualify as its own category of craving.

Latest food craving: a three layered cake – the cake itself made with almond slivers, amaretto, and chocolate. Layered between homemade chocolate mouse with fresh raspberries, and the entire thing covered with chocolate ganache.

First, Peter, I love your craving! I am craving Korean food in general after spending 12 glorious days there last month eating tons of fresh vegetables, varieties of kimchi, grilled meats, tenjang soup, and the best fruit — persimmons, clementines, kiwi….on and on

Sea urchins and raw oysters- have to be very very very fresh!! I even dreamed about having a small bowl of rice topped with sea urchins. Then last Monday, I went to a sushi restuarant and got a very mini sushi portion sea uchin bowl! Had to order a second one. No seaweed. I learned that seaweed can get in the way. Can’t wait till I go back.

These are beautiful, too, in that minimalist way. Love it.

All I want is some wine and an assortment of cheeses from Murray’s — whatever the smart cheese folks behind the counter suggest. An array of firm, soft, blue, oozing, earthy, sharp, stinky — I love it all.

This cold, grey weather makes me crave my Mom’s Homemade Beef Stew. Since she lives in Florida now, I had to settle for Peter’s, a new comfort food joint in Williamsburg. It was delish!

Bread, bread, and even more bread. Any kind really. Especially now cuz I gave it up for Lent!
