This month’s winners are Cindy and Peter. Congratulations!

Below is the original Baking Friday post.

Q: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE RESTAURANT FOR BREAKFAST?

Scroll down below to enter a comment. Make sure to click on “submit” after the preview appears on screen. Send in your answer by 5pm today and you will automatically be entered into the drawing to win a “O” List Cookie Gift Tin from Protein Bakery.

Winners will be contacted via email to arrange for prize delivery.

We’ve tried the cookies and brownies from Protein Bakery and we think they’re great!

And we can eat them feeling less guilty. Why? Well, a brownie or cookie is never going to be a healthy choice, but these products are a better alternative, because they are all-natural, wheat-free, rich in protein, and higher in fiber than most traditional recipes. But the key is that they taste good, too!

Protein Bakery owner, Stephen Charles Lincoln (who is a group fitness instructor at David Barton Gyms) founded Protein Bakery as a way to pair the health benefits of protein with rich gourmet taste. We love happy mediums, especially when it involves food!

We’re giving away Protein Bakery cookies, but check out their brownies and blondies, too!

Protein Bakery goods can be purchased through their website.

Thank you, Protein Bakery, for this week’s Baking Friday contribution!

I have a hard time believing that these could taste as good as the standard, less healthy cookies!

Miriam in Park Slope has great energy —modern mix of Israeli and American food, good neighborhood vibes and natural lighting from the big windows.

My favorite restaurant for Breakfast is Big Daddy’s Diner on Park Ave South. Where else can you get tater tots with your eggs? They even have a great hangover special…tater tots with chili and cheese. Mmmmmmmmmm

Tavern on Jane – great combo of WV laidback atmosphere with no “line out the door hype” and great / creative food.

i know i should have an informed opinion on this, but i can’t say that i have found THE perfect spot yet. some contenders: applewood in park slope for farm fresh food. rosewater for their unbeatable strawberry rhubarb juice and poached eggs. yet to find the “perfect” pancake. also on a quest for the perfect (brakfast) potato. baked eggs at little giant. excited to see everyone else’s posts to get some other ideas.

My favorite restaurant is the Comfort Diner where the lemon ricotta pancakes and a cappuccino is pleasurable.

Naidre’s (http://www.naidres.com/) in Park Slope is a quick, yummy place to hit up for breakfast.

Mmmm, breakfast is the most decadent meal to eat out. I love any hotel breakfast, but my favorite breakfast in NY is at Cafe Sabarsky — soft-boiled eggs, bread and butter, and delicious Viennese coffee.

“Good Enough to Eat” on the Amsterdam Avenue in Manhattan and “Petite Abeille” in Tribecca(they have four locations in NY). Both places have very neat home feel inside, the food is perfect, delectable and the strawberry butter on a freshly baked biscuits at “Good Enough to Eat” is divine.

Bubby’s in DUMBO is pretty good, since it has a great view of Manhattan and can pretty easily accomodate large parties (very difficult to do in Manhattan on a Sunday!)

Cafe Henri in LIC. Comfy place, good food.

I can’t list just one:
Clinton St. Bakery is smashingly good — those biscuits, the jam, and cheddar grits, oh my!
202 in Chelsea Market is a lovely and decadent experience — fried green tomatoes, creamy mushroom scrambled eggs, and their amazing “hammy-eggy-cheesy” sandwich on some sort of jalapeno/cornbread/english muffin thingy! But avoid the $12 drinks, not worth it.
I’m dying to try the brunch at Rockinghorse Cafe.

Whole Foods. Every Sunday I get coffee and a Chocolate Chunk Scone.

Bonbonniere on 8th Ave at Jane St. Good French toast!

I see that Clinton Street Baking Co. has already been mentioned but I really want to highlight their uptown sister restaurant, Community Food & Juice, which opened last November and has been buzzing ever since. The neighborhood was downright starved for a restaurant such as this to open up and thus breakfast/brunch can be insane, but it is well worth it. And note, during the week (Mon.-Thurs.) they have a pancake special with unlimited coffee for $9 (!!!).

I have to say that I IMAGINE the quiche at Le Pichet is my favorite breakfast, but every single time I’ve gone for it they have been sold out! It really must be as good as I imagine…hopefully someday.

I don’t go out for breakfast much, but when I do I usually head for a local diner – Scobee in Little Neck, Queens

The pumpkin pecan pancakes at North Square (in the Washington Square Hotel) are just fabulous. Their egg benedict “3 ways” (crab and fennel is my favorite) are great too. The tables are large, perfect for a morning business meeting. They also do a Sunday jazz brunch.
