Tropical Hibiscus

The walkway to our lagoon suite entrance at the Rosewood was lined with hibiscus plants. Though in Mexico, this was another association I made with Hawaii, as hibiscus is Hawaii’s state flower. It used to just be any hibiscus, but now Hawaii’s state flower is the indigenous yellow hibiscus. But I still associate red hibiscus with my Rainbow State.
