Shucking Your Own Oysters
Shucking an oyster isn’t that difficult once you get it. It’s like opening a bottle of wine. I got my first lesson this summer at Widow’s Hole Oysters but the folks at Westport Aquaculture gave me another quick lesson. At home, though it took a while, once I got it, I couldn’t stop shucking! All the hard work makes the oysters taste even better. Look, how gorgeous!
