Rice at Kajitsu
Kajitsu, the Japanese vegetarian restaurant in the East Village, is my new favorite restaurant. The artistry of the Kyoto-style cuisine is impressive. I enjoy all the courses, but my favorite is always the rice. Here we have white rice topped with grilled grape tomatoes and shredded shiso. The rice is tossed with sun-dried tomatoes, and served with homemade pickles.
