Mort Hochstein
Mort Hochstein, former writer-editor-producer for NBC News and the Today Show, learned about food in his family’s bakery in Somerville, NJ and in the kitchens of Memorial Hospital, where he worked while attending Syracuse University. A former managing editor and beverage columnist for Nation’s Restaurant News, he has contributed to Saveur, Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast, Better Homes and Gardens and leading trade journals in the wine industry. His travels as a wine writer have taken him to Australia, South Africa and the major vineyards of Europe. He makes a mean bouillabaisse.

Everett Hutt
Everett Hutt has lived in Paris for over eight years. When not working at his day job in marketing and business development, he spends his time enjoying all that Paris and France have to offer in the way of great wine and food. In addition, he is an extensive traveler, having thus far visited 49 of the 50 states in the U.S. and 69 other countries. He continues to explore the wonders of the world and frequently shares those experiences with Cravings readers. Everett is a graduate of Yale University and holds both M.B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Pennsylvania.

Cristy-Lucie Alvarado
Cristy-Lucie Alvarado was born and raised in south Texas near the border with Mexico and came to New York in 2002. Originally from Panama, her parents are both naturally talented in the kitchen and inevitably passed on their love and knowledge of food. Her move to New York has broadened and heightened her interest in the culinary world. Cristy enjoys baking, African dance, and hunting down the perfect croissant. She graduated from Fashion Institute of Technology with a B.A. in Advertising and Marketing and is now completing her M.A. in Food Studies at New York University.

Sonya Collins
Sonya Collins is a freelance writer and translator (Portuguese-English) and the copy editor for Cravings. Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, she has spent the last ten years between New York City and Brazil. Holding B.A. and M.F.A. degrees in Creative Writing from the City University of New York and New School University respectively, she has taught writing courses at Hunter College and Parsons School of Design. She currently lives on the island of Florianópolis off the southern coast of Brazil.
