Since I wrote about my meal at Fireside and discovering their Philly Cheese Steak Dumplings, they have become one of my favorite finger foods, perfect with drinks or as a small lunch. I love Philly cheese steaks, but these dumplings are brilliant because the delicious filling — thinly sliced Rib eye, grilled onions, button mushrooms and American cheese — is neatly wrapped in dumpling skins and then fried like pot stickers. The proportion of each is perfect as the Philly cheese steak contents burst in your mouth when you bite into the dumpling. There are five to an order, served with sriracha ketchup, and it’s always a struggle to resist ordering more.
