Danny Meyer’s latest pizza venture with Maialino chef Nick Anderer is one of the hottest tables in town. Located in the Martha Washington Hotel, the restaurant has everything going for it: great open space, happening vibe, delicious appetizers, thin-crust pizzas and an outstanding wine list. Of the pizzas, our favorite is the white potato carbonara. It’s the perfect translation of pasta carbonara into pizza form, with guanciale, black pepper, egg and Pecorino cheese. The addition of potatoes gives the pizza more substance, and who doesn’t love potatoes? Especially when there’s guanciale and egg involved. In the red-pizza category, we love the tripe with mint.
