Call me old school, but I still love snail mail, and I regularly visit the post office to check out the latest stamps. Maybe it’s because I’m the third generation of a family of stamp collectors, or because the designer in me knows that even simple details like stamps can brighten someone’s day — regardless, I carefully select what stamp I put on each piece of mail. That said, I had never bought a “love” stamp until the February 14, 2012, release of Love Ribbons designed by Louise Fili. The graceful typographic rendering of those four letters in the form of flowing ribbons on a bold red background is playful and flirtatious and leaves a lasting impression; it is, appropriately, a forever stamp. Don’t be surprised if you receive a letter from me with this stamp on it, for I’ve fallen in love with the love stamp!
