So Kong Dong is a soon dubu jigae (soft tofu stew) specialty restaurant that has been in Fort Lee for nearly a decade, and their soon dubu is unparalleled in the New York Metro area. And their ribs are equally superb. They only serve one type of meat, the LA style BBQ, a.k.a Korean style barbecue beef short ribs. And while more and more Korean restaurants in Koreatown are serving LA style BBQ, So Kong Dong’s version is the one I always dream about.
