SchoolHouse Kitchen produces three stellar, all-natural products: SweetSmoothHot Mustard, Bardshar Chutney and Balsamic Vinaigrette Basico. All three condiments are welcome additions to my fridge, especially now that I am eating at home more often.

The mustard tastes exactly like its name. It’s sweet and smooth with a hint of heat — it jazzes up an order of fries. The Bardshar Chutney is the perfect burger topping. And for my side salad, the vinaigrette complements well its peppery and tart flavors.

SchoolHouse Kitchen’s mission isn’t just to produce gourmet products, but also to help provide educational resources by donating part of their profits. Run by mother-daughter team Pasty and Wendy, mom Patsy started making her secret recipe mustard over 30 years ago and launched SchoolHouse Kitchen a couple of years ago to bring her recipes to market to raise funds for educational organizations. Wendy recently joined her mother in this venture.

The culmination of SchoolHouse Kitchen is a fun loving way of providing the public with some much needed good sauces, while achieving a larger goal. Kudos to Mrs. and Ms. Smith!
