Early Bird’s granola is wholesome and delicious, and I mean that as a compliment. Brooklyn-based Early Bird, owned by Franny’s alum Nekisia Davis, currently offers four different blends, but the island girl in me is partial to the Aloha blend with organic rolled oats, toasted organic coconut, organic sunflower seeds, macadamia nuts, dried mango, Vermont maple syrup, organic brown sugar, extra-virgin olive oil and salt. There’s sweet and savory action, but it’s the olive oil in the granola that gives it a well balanced, rounded flavor. It leaves me feeling good and satisfied!
