Friends recommended the nouvelle Maya cuisine restaurant, Yaxche, in Playa del Carmen. Here’s the appetizer sampler with lobster ceviche; tamale with chaya, boiled egg and pumpkin seed; Xcatic pepper stuffed with pork; and tortilla filled with boiled egg, pumpkin seed and epazote (strong flavored Mexican herb).
