Park Hyatt Washington

Accommodations

The Park Hyatt Washington is conveniently located in West End Georgetown, close to George Washington University (nearest metro stop: Foggy Bottom/GWU) and Dupont Circle. My hotel of choice in D.C., the Park Hyatt features elegant guest rooms designed by New York designer Tony Chi, combining modernism with classic American style. The bathrooms are spa-inspired, and in their simple elegance the guest rooms feel serene and warm. The walnut flooring adds a dramatic and open feel.

The key to a good experience at any hotel is the service, and this is where I feel the Park Hyatt Washington sets itself apart from other high-end hotels in D.C. The hotel staff members add a personal touch, with warm smiles and understated courtesy. And they provide you with business cards, should you need to contact them for any request, a concept similar to butler service. Just past the lobby, Blue Duck Tavern, with its open kitchen, is one of D.C.’s top restaurants — a good choice for those who don’t want to venture far from the hotel.
