Soup

I was nursing a cold last week and couldn’t have found a better remedy than the stampot soup at Vandaag. With cabbage and potatoes, the soup reminds me of borscht. A towering bone marrow stands in the middle of the soup, topped with a slice of beef crudo that is so luscious and laced with fat I thought it was ham. The menu at Vandaag changes frequently, so if this soup is no longer available, I’d still highly recommend you try Chef Phillip Kirschen-Clark’s other tasty creations.

Note: Vandaag will be closed from January 31 to February 6, 2011 for a week break.
