Rhong-Tiam has now moved to the Gramercy area and evolved into a fast food joint. While the wait for your order will make you wonder how it can be deemed “fast” food, the roti wraps are a wonderful treat, well worth it. I love roti canai, so the thought of having the roti as a wrap filled with other Southeast Asian goodies instantly appealed to my taste buds. I recommend both the slow cooked Thai beef with curry, eggs and cucumber and the crispy basil pork with bell peppers and onion. The wraps aren’t too big, so go ahead and indulge in two or three for a meal.
