Kajitsu only serves dinner but last month they had a special exhibition of traditional Japanese paper fans and was open for lunch for a week. The menu was simple, but exquisite. The tendon (tempura donburi) was the best I’ve ever had, with the vegetable tempura crisp and light but not greasy. It was only $12 but I would have paid $30.
